Brand of brine shrimp eggs are presented in vacuum sealed cans each bearing a label with a full physical and chemical declaration of the product.  The use of an actual lot analysis provides a guarantee of quality of our many prestigious clients.  Examination of a typical label shows the important physical parameters of hatchout percentage, nauplius size, calories per gram, hatching characteristics and species.  The chemical analysis includes important values for key HUFA's biopigments, proximate analysis, pesticide and heavy metal residues.  Each ARGENTEMIA label also includes and actual lot number, date of manufacturer and its expiration date.  

Hatchfry Encapsulon 0, I, II & III   

Hatchfry encapsulon is formulated to resemble artemia nauplii.  Sized matrix bound, microparticlate larval feed are excellent food for shrimps and finfish.   Argent has manufactured and distributed Hatchfry Encapsulon for more than two decades.  The addition of GRADE "0" has been welcomed by shrimp and finfish aquaculturists as it provides a budgetary priced 30 to 50 microns addition for feeding at earliest stages of accepance. All grades of Hatchfry Encapsulon are chemically composed so that their protein content, as expressed in the amino acids profile, closely resembles that of artemia nauplii allowing for a partial substition of Hatchfry Encapsulon!  Larval of penaeid and freshwater shrimp as well as most marine and freshwater finfish fry thrive on this excellent, cost effective diet.

ARTIFICIAL PLANKTON-"A.P."  

AP stimulates the dietary profile of zooplankton.  Artificial plankton is a precision microdiet with a natural profile similar to zooplankton.   A.P. ranges in size from 50 to 150 microns.  It is encapsulated with an easily digestible polyglycine protein polymer.  A.P is in all respects a larval food for penaeid and freshwater shrimp larva.  However, because of its substantial augmentation with eicosapentanoic and docosdahexanoic highly unsaturated (w-3) fatty acids it may be considered as a booster.   The chemical profile of AP is very similar to the edible sustrates within natural larval ecosystems.  Every attempt has bben made to use conserved microalgaes, rotifers, ciliates, daphia, and fish eggs to maximize coincidence with the natural habitat diet.  Further, protein contributions from superior fish, shrimp, squid, liver and krill meal as well as egg yolk assure an outstanding amino acid profile.  AP is further enhanced by an arsenal fo stabilized and naturally occurring vitamins, minerals and specialty fish oils.  Our special formulation maintains potency in tropical climates, A.P.  has been used by the leaders in penaeid shrimp aquaculture for many years.  Aquaculturists use AP with confidence because:    1 Microencapsulation insures hydro stability 2 Particle size 50-150 microns 3 Mimics natural zooplankton 4 Boosts HUFA's, biopigments and proteins 5 Contains stabilized vitamins and antioxidants 6 Specially formulated for shrimp larva.

Feeding Regiman

AP is ideal for penaeid larva from protozoa I through PL (12)+ stages.  It is excellent when used in conjuction with artemia as it provides the necessary vegetative component of the diet as found in nature.

Z(1)-Z(3)=0.5g AP/1000L, 4 to 6 times a day

M(1)-M(3)=1.0g AP/1000L, 4 to 6 times a day  

P(1)-P(3)=1.5g AP/1000L, 4 to 6 times a day

BRINE SHRIMP FLAKE   

A single flake diet dissolves in water to yield microparticulates.  Brine shrimp Flake  is composed of lycophilized adult artemia species with superior shrimp, fish, squid adn egg meal.  To prevent water fouling, a special binder of pure vegetable gum is used.  Processed by lower temperature roller extrusion, the Brine shrimp Flake retains heat labile nutrients.  Brine shrimp Flake is a golden brown color.  The product dissolves readily in marine or freshwater systems yielding a narrow band of particulate sizes allowing for good availability to penaeid and freshwater larval shrimps, finfish larva and fry of all species.  Brine Shrimp Flake  is alos very useful in the culture and holding of freshwater and marine ornamental fishes as it contains significant amounts of conserved Spirulina algae-vital for coloration.
