DESCRIPTION

STAY-C Dry Mixture is a fine powder containing mono-, di and triphosphate esters of L-ascorbic acid in a suitable carrier. It provides a minimum of 35% of ascorbic acid by weight equivalent to 150 grams of ascorbic acid per kg of dry mixture.

STAY-C Dry Mixture is specially formulated for use as a stabilized source of vitamin C in feeds of all animal species. It is especially useful in feeds of aquacultural species, pets, guinea pigs and non-human primates.

FORMULA

Example:L-ascorbyl-2-monosphate.

The phosphate esters of vitamin C have L-ascorbate molar activity equivalent to L-ascorbic acid. Ester-

ification of the 2-carbon atom protects vitamin C from destruction by oxidation.

USES For use as a stabilized source of vitamin C in feeds of all animal species. It is especially useful in feeds of aquacultural species such as catfish, trout, salmon and shrimp, pets, guinea pigs and non-human primates under good feeding and manufacturing practices.

Mix STAY-C Dry Mixture with feed ingredients before pelleting or extruding feed.

STABILITY The stability of STAY-C Dry Mixture during feed manufacturing and storage permits vitamin C fortification at nutritional levels without extensive overages. Because the product is hygroscopic, it should be stored in the original, tightly closed container in a cool, dry place. It can be stored in the original, unopened container for 12 months.
