Argent Chemcial Laboratories has for decades been the leader in developing
pharmaceuticals for aquatic animal health management and unique diets for larval,
grow out
and maturation phases of the principal cultured species. Argent's service to the
aquaculture community began with the introduction of "fishery grade" chemicals
in the 1970's.
Today, Argent has more FDA approved drug products in use by aquaculturists
than any other manufacturer, products include: Finquel , MS-222
(tricaine methanesulfonate) for the sedation and anesthesia of aquatic species;
and Paracide-F (37% formaldehyde solution) for treatment of parasitic and fungal
infections.
